Tai Chi
Thursdays at 10AM | Fireside Room
The classes are sponsored by OWLS Ministry, but are open to all people and ages at no cost! This introductory class teaches participants ways to improve their overall mind, body and spirit through a series of slow continuous movements. The instructor is Jana Finigan with the OSU extension. Please wear comfortable clothes and non-skid shoes!
Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun, fast-paced game that is easy to learn and can be played well by people of all ages. New Cov now has 3 courts in the Activity Center reserved Monday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00pm, and Sunday evenings from 6-8pm (with the exceptions of a few conflicting activities).
Pickleball Intro Course
New Cov is offering a free introduction course to Pickleball! The course will consist of the basics:
Safety and basic rules
The court size and zones
How to dink, hit, toss and control the ball across the net
How to serve, keep score, and basic strategy of the game
And most of all, how to have fun and figure out if Pickleball is for you
The course will be on a Sunday (date yet to be determined) 3:00-5:00 pm or 6:00-8:00 pm.

Lunches
Join us for an OWLS Fall Lunch, "100 Years of Route 66," on September 10th at 11:30am in the Chapel. This is a great way to enjoy a meal and entertainment with other seniors who attend New Cov! Lunch will be Cadillac Ranch Stew, Mother Road Vegetable Soup, Arcadia Round Barn Cornbread, Will Rogers Fruit Salad, Poppy Seed Salad, and Woody Guthrie Apple Dumplings for dessert. We'll also have great entertainment! Cost for the event is $15. Please join us!

Join us for August’s Coffee Talk on Friday, August 14. This event is hosted by our OWLS ministry, but open to all!
Our guest speaker is Dee Dee Chumley!
Why Write? Dee Dee will share a bit of her experience about pursuing writing and offer encouragement and answer questions for those who are interested in sharing some of their own stories.
Dee Dee has been a member of New Covenant for thirty-five years and taught high school English for twenty-three years. She has written two published novels and two children's stories, and has won many awards for her short stories, poems, and essays.
We will have coffee and donuts and meet in the NC Café at 9:30 am!
