Project 66 Food & Resource Center

The Project 66 Food & Resource Center is a faith-based, 501-c3 nonprofit that provides food and resources to people who are facing food insecurity in Edmond, Arcadia, Jones, and Luther, Oklahoma. Since their founding in 2010, Project 66 has been at the forefront of the fight against hunger in central Oklahoma. As an affiliate of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Project 66 distributes food to people who would otherwise go undernourished, such as children, the elderly, the disabled, and families who are facing difficult economic times. They also connect clients with local resources that may help them with other issues they are facing, such as finding community clinics, learning English, or getting assistance with rent or utilities. Their mission is to “serve those who are struggling, in the name of Jesus Christ”.

In May of 2023, New Covenant church members brought in 2,861 pounds of food and hygiene products. If it had all been food that is enough for 3433 meals--but we also donated toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, soap, laundry detergent, dish soap, anti-perspirant, shampoo and diapers.

Project 66 is always in need of people to be Client Resource Volunteers during their service times of: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9:30am-12:15pm - and they have great need of volunteers for their evening service times which are Monday and Thursday evenings 5:45-7:30 pm. They also need volunteers who can speak Spanish at all service times who can translate where needed.
