The Wheelis Family - US/Eastern Europe

Robert Wheelis served as New Covenant's youth director from 1999 to 2003. During that time, a short-term trip to Albania with Adrian Cole became a turning point; God made it clear to Robert that he would return one day.

Robert and Jenny moved their family to the Balkans in 2006, where over the next two decades they poured themselves into the Albanian church and community, leading youth and children's ministries, teaching in international schools, training youth workers nationwide, planting a coffee shop/church, leading Alpha, and serving as executive pastor of one of the country's largest churches.

After 18 years of cross-cultural life, Robert and Jenny have stepped into a new calling: coaching and equipping church planters in hard-to-reach places across Eastern Europe and Asia. Their work focuses on four areas:

• Church Planting through coaching and workshops

• Leadership Development through one-on-one church strengthening and coaching.

• Teacher and Community Development through the International School Project (in partnership with Cru)

• Evangelism and Discipleship among international students in the US through the Alpha Course.
