Midweek Spring Semester

January 21

Join us for Midweek, Wednesday night dinners and classes and activities for all ages! Dinner will begin being served at 5:30 pm. At 6:30 pm, different Midweek activities for Adults, Students, and Kids will begin around campus. It is not too late to join our classes!

Classes Offered:

4:30 pm:

  • Nicene Creed: Pastor Jay and guest teacher Kyler Kanady lead a study of the Nicene Creed—one of the central confessions of the historic Church. Together, we’ll explore what the Creed teaches about the identity and work of the one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

6:30 pm:

  • The Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work: Pastor Jay is leading his class through key concepts from Dr. John Gottman’s bestselling book that offers practical, proven insight into everyday challenges couples face—and tools that help marriages not just survive, but flourish.

  • Estate Planning 101: Are you prepared for the future? This class will cover essential estate planning topics to help you protect your loved ones and steward your legacy wisely. Whether you’re just getting started or need a refresher, this class offers practical guidance for every stage of life.

  • Celebration of Discipline: Suzan Benson will lead this class as a natural next step following our fall Renovation of the Heart journey. Together, we asked the question, Who am I becoming? This class continues that invitation by helping participants learn and practice spiritual disciplines that shape a Christ-centered life.

  • Revelation Bible Study: BEGINS JAN 28
This study is a continuation of last fall’s Revelation Bible Study and will pick up where we left off. If you’ve been part of the journey—or want to jump in as we continue exploring this powerful book—you’re invited to join us.

Other adult options include the Healing Hearts Grief Group at 4:30 pm and options at 6:30pm including a Family Group called the Bible Explorers, His Hands Group that meets for prayer, the NC Choir, and meeting with your D-Group.

NC Students will meet weekly in the NC Commons and NC Kids will have Ultimate Midweek Adventure in the Kids Building at 6:30 pm.

Men’s Bible Study

January 22

God has created men to have incredible strength. But today’s culture has hijacked masculinity, distorting strength into passivity and abuse. In this video Bible study series, pastor Joby Martin invites men to embrace God’s definition of masculinity and to step into His calling upon their lives to wield their strength on behalf of others. God has designed men to be protectors, providers, and defenders. When men act like men, everyone flourishes.

Please make plans to join us for this Bible Study on Thursday mornings, at 6:30 am in the Fireside Room. We'll have hot coffee and donuts ready for you!

New Member Sunday

January 25

If you have been visiting New Covenant Church, or been attending for a while and are considering membership, we will be receiving new members on Sunday, January 25, at the 8:30 am and 11:00 am services. If you are interested, please email Abbi Blair at ablair@newcov.tv or call the church office at 405.562.3200.

Sunday Serve

January 25

Stay for a few minutes after worship on Sunday, January 25, to help us build Meal Kits for Neighborhood Services Organization (NSO)! NSO is located near downtown OKC, where a growing number of homeless and transient neighbors rely on nourishing, mobile meals. These meal kits allow NSO to provide high-protein meals or snacks to individuals in need. This is a meaningful, hands-on way to serve our community and support NSO’s mission of caring for some of Oklahoma City’s most vulnerable neighbors.

Guatemala Interest Meeting

January 25

If you have any interest in being part of a mission trip to serve at the Casa Aleluya children’s home in Guatemala this summer, please join us for a short interest meeting on Sunday, January 25, at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room.

Our trip is geared primarily toward relationships and experiences for the kids at Casa Aleluya. Spanish is helpful, but not necessary! From crafts and movie nights to VBS and bible lessons, we hope to give them special experiences as beloved children of God! Occasionally, there are "work" projects on campus, but we mostly plan fun activities to share God's love and care for them.

The trip will be in the second half of June 2026, depending on flight availability. Volunteers must be at least eighteen-years-old or travel with a parent/guardian.

Starting Point

February 1

Are you new to New Covenant? Maybe you’ve been coming for a while, but only attend worship. Maybe you are in a group, but don’t feel like you understand much about this New Covenant family yet.

Starting Point is for you! We will spend four Sundays together from 9:45-10:40am in Room 103 learning about who we are and focus on each step of our Discipleship Pathway! On the fourth Sunday we will have breakfast and fellowship together. We will begin this class on Sunday, February 1, and meet through February 22. For more details contact Abbi Blair at  ablair@newcov.tv or 405-562-3212.

Confirmation Class & Parent Meeting

February 1

Confirmation helps students move from an inherited faith to an owned faith through a seasonal, intentional program focused on who Jesus is, what we believe, and how faith shapes everyday life. The goal is not just information, but formation—creating space for students to experience God’s goodness, develop personal spiritual habits, and take meaningful next steps in following Jesus.

Confirmation will take place on Sundays from 12:15–2:00 pm in the Commons (lunch provided) and include weekly sessions, at-home reflections, a retreat, and a Confirmation Sunday celebration. If your student is interested, you’d like to volunteer as an adult leader, or you want to learn more, please contact Jonah or Cody and sign up using the link below. Parents of 8th–12th grade students are also invited to a Parent Meeting on Sunday, February 1, right after church in the Commons, where we’ll walk through expectations, key dates, and how we’ll partner together in your student’s faith journey.

Chili Cook-Off

February 1

Our New Cov favorite, the annual Chili Cook-Off, is coming up on Sunday, February 1, starting at 5:00 pm. It's always a great event in which we come together as a church family and have a friendly competition to determine the “Best Chili Makers” in our church.

This year we are raising funds for Mission 143, a ministry based out of New Covenant that exists to serve those suffering from homelessness and those at risk for becoming unhoused.

If you aren't competing, make sure to bring some money to vote on your favorite chili.  Also, people with last names that begin with A-L bring desserts and M-Z bring fixin's (Fixins=crackers, cheese, Fritos, cornbread, onions, etc.) .

You can sign up to bring chili as an individual or sign up with your family group or some friends to compete as a group!
