Global Week of 24/7 Prayer

September 6th-13th

The week of September 6th through September 13th, New Covenant is excited to join in the Global Week of 24/7 Prayer, united with Christians all over the world to call on the name of Jesus, petitioning God to move powerfully and freshly in our homes, city, country, and across our world.

This week of prayer aims to spend those 7 days interceding through prayer for every hour of the week, 168 hours of prayer. As we enter into this intention, we invite YOU to sign up for one or multiple 30-minute time slots to pray that week.

We have all the resources—including a Prayer Room—to make this possible for you, or you and your family, to take on this faithful step of adding intentional prayer to your life and to our rhythm.

Monday Morning Women’s Bible Study

September 14th

Ladies, mark your calendars for the start of our Fall Bible study beginning September 14 - October 26 (7 weeks). We meet at 9:30 am on Monday mornings in the Fireside Room.

You will need to purchase the study book from your favorite Christian book store or Amazon.  He’s Where The Joy Is, Getting to Know the Captivating God of the Trinity, by Tara-Leigh Cobble, will give us a deeper understanding of the Trinity.  This is a concept that is very hard to grasp with our finite minds. It’s true that some things are beyond our complete knowledge, but they aren’t beyond our partial knowledge. So, Tarah Leigh states, “we’ll make it our aim to know the highest percentage of what our minds can possibly grasp.  After all, knowing Him is the path to joy, and I want as much joy as possible.”

What a welcoming group of friends you will find as a bonus.  So, if you have never done a Bible Study, fear not!  Everyone is learning together.  For more information, contact Jamie Crooch at (405) 834-6150.

Whiz Kids

September 17

If you haven’t heard the news yet, New Covenant is going to be a Whiz Kids site for our neighbors at Orvis Risner! Whiz Kids is a faith-based reading tutoring program with a proven track record for dramatically improving the reading levels of the students participating in their program!

Whiz Kids at New Covenant will take place on Thursdays all across our campus, after school, starting at 4 pm and ending around 6 pm.

We are still in a place where we have a few volunteer needs:

  1. We need TUTORS, Substitute Tutors, & help with the snack team. NO matter if you can commit to one week a month or every week, we can use you!

  2. We need ONE MORE site coordinator. These folks are the people who make Whiz Kids here at New Covenant run. We already have three folks committed to help in this regard, but as the adage goes, “many hands make light work.” We think ONE MORE would be the sweet spot.

Additionally, we wanted to get some dates out there for you so you can prepare for how this is going to proceed this fall:

  • September 17: Whiz Kids Training. 4-6 pm in the Chapel

  • September 24: Whiz Kids at NC Open House. Students and Families get to come and meet the tutors and see the space (5 – 7 pm)

  • October 1: Our First Official Whiz Kids Session. 4-6 pm all across the church.

If you are ready to sign up to help, you can do that here: www.newcov.tv/whiz-kids

If you have any questions, reach out to Ruby Gabelmann at rgabelmann@newcov.tv.

Wesley Heritage Tour Interest Meeting

September 23

You’re invited to be part of NC’s Wesley Heritage Tour that will be led by Pastor Jay from July 7 to 15, 2027. We will travel across England, from the Wesley Family home in Epworth to the birthplace of the Methodist movement at Oxford, from the chapel at New Room to the streets of London, where both John and Charles Wesley experienced the warming of the hearts. We will visit and experience all the historic sites of the tradition and church stream we are part of.

If you are interested in learning more about the trip, there will be an interest meeting on Wednesday, September 23, at 5:45 pm in the Fireside Room. You can bring in your Midweek Dinner plate and feel free to eat during the meeting! If you can't join us for that one, let us know and we will get the information to you!

New Member & Baptism Sunday

September 27

On Sunday, September 27th we will be receiving new members and have an opportunity for anyone who wants to be baptized in both our 8:30 and 11:00am services.

During our services we will be baptizing anyone who has not been baptized but is ready to make the public profession, and any child who has not been baptized. Baptism is a huge part of who we are. We want to make sure that we communicate the power of the sacrament in a way that glorifies God and unites the body!

If you have been visiting New Covenant Church, or been attending for a while and are considering membership, or if you or your child have not been baptized but would like to be baptized, let us know; please contact Abbi Blair ablair@newcov.tv or by calling 405.562.3212 today!

Women’s Retreat 2026

Oct 9-11

Hey ladies! Join us for the 2026 Women’s Retreat on October 9-11, 2026, at the beautiful St. Crispin’s Conference Center and Camp. We will spend two nights away growing, laughing, and resting in Jesus and His creation.

Many of us have heard the Fruits of the Spirit in Sunday school or church our whole lives. Come away for a few days to be in community, rest, and learn how the Fruit of the Spirit plays out in your everyday life. We will have ladies share their stories and allow you time to sit with the Holy Spirit and see how these fruits play out in your life in Christ.

"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23

SIGN UP BY SEPTEMBER 8th!
