Prayer Blanket Sewing Day

Our Prayer Blanket Ministry reaches hundreds of people every year, in our church and outside it, with handmade blankets that have a stitched prayer, reminding the recipient of God’s presence, healing, and faithfulness. For years the New Covenant Prayer Blankets have made a lasting difference in people’s lives – many thanks to the men and women who have cut and stitched fabric, knitted, crocheted, and delivered these blankets of love – and we want to keep the tradition strong into the future. If you can cut fabric, press seems, or use a measuring tape, sew, knit, or crochet and would like to be part of the process in some way, contact Paula Beverage or Paula Melendy.

On Tuesday, January 16 Paula and Paula are hosting a “Sewing Day” in Room 208 from 10 am to 2 pm. Bring any supplies and equipment you have to help. Pop in and out as you have time. And if you’d work best from home, just let them know what you can do. Paula Melendy: pjmelendy@msn.com; Paula Beverage: 405-226-3529.
