Midweek Starts Sept. 16!
Midweek is our weekly Wednesday nights at New Cov – we do dinner, classes, and activities for the entire family. And it all kicks off September 16th! Midweek meal starts serving at 5:30 pm in the Activities Center, and adult classes, kids’ activities, and student ministry’s “Rotate” get going at 6:30 pm. Check out the website for a full list of adult classes. Not interested in a class, come to dinner! Be part of community in the middle of your week! Questions? Contact Shelley Johnson at email@example.com.
One of the Midweek classes offered this fall flows right out of our year’s them “A Year of Prayer.” Christa Midkiff and her Spiritual Formation Team are ready to train and encourage anyone who’s ready to engage in “Prayer Practices,” a multi-week experiential-type class that instructs and gives time to do various ways to pray. More details online. Email Christa your questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Women have multiple options at Midweek this fall – New Beginnings, a group for new moms; Connect, a study and fellowship group of moms of college-age kids; Moms in Prayer, a group of moms dedicated to praying for their kids; Before Amen, a group of women studying Max Lucado’s book on simple prayer. Women, jump into community this fall with one of these great classes!
Men, you’re not to be neglected – At Midweek a great team of leaders is ready and excited to lead you through The HeArt of a Warrior, the study based on Michael Thompson’s book. This group is open to men of all ages and stages and is set to explore all the ways God created a man’s heart and equipped men with strategy (a battle plan) for fighting the good fights of life. Ken Grant, as main leader, brings with him years of experience studying John Eldredge’s Wild at Heart and participating in his Spiritual Boot Camp. Raising his family and leading others in the workplace, Ken puts into practice all he has learned and is called to share all that God is doing in his life. Be part of this study and discover what God has for you! Email Ken with your questions at email@example.com.
Women’s Bible Study opportunities abound this fall at New Covenant! Mondays this fall are two great study options: Starting September 14th, women of all ages gather in room 102/3 at 9:30 am to do Priscilla Shirer’s study Armor of God – a study that explores Ephesians 6 and its call to pray, equipped by God with all we need. Then on September 28th a group of moms will get together in room 106 at 9:45 am to read and study Jen Hatmaker’s newest book For the Love. RSVP for either class and for childcare to Shelley Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org. Books will be available for purchase the morning of the studies. For a full list of all the Women’s Ministry opportunities, check out the women's ministry page. There are weekday, evening, and Sunday morning groups!
