The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree is New Covenant’s annual Christmas outreach project. We support foster families connected with the Circle of Care’s Child SHARE program.

The Giving Trees are set up in Decker Hall and the Café. These trees are decorated with snowflake ornaments labeled with suggested gifts for the children. Along with gifts, we fill baskets with food for each family. The smaller ornaments indicate a food basket and a list of suggested items is provided. Please consider helping a foster family this Christmas by selecting one of tags off of the tree this Sunday. All gifts and food baskets are due back to the church by Sunday December 6th at 6:30 pm.

Volunteers are needed for:

  • The Wrapping Party on Thursday, December 10th, 6:30 pm in the hall outside the Choir room.  This is a fun and rewarding project!  If you have some scissors you want to use or any wrapping supplies you would like to donate, (i.e. tape, wrapping paper, tissue paper and especially any large gift bags), we will appreciate those too.  If not, come on anyway and get in the Christmas spirit with us!
  • Donating Cookies (2 dozen) on Friday, December 11th by 3:00 pm
  • Decorating the Activity Center on Friday, December 11th at 5:00 pm
  • The ChildSHARE Party on Saturday, December 12th from 1:00-3:00 pm
