Serving Spotlight- Renae Duncan

If you are anywhere around the children’s building, there is a good chance you may run into Renae Duncan! She has been serving in children’s ministry the last 6+ years. Teaching children’s church, helping with VBS, being apart of the Easter Egg hunt committee..she is there! Renae says, “The Easter Carnival planning is my most favorite area to help with because I get to work hand in hand with so many of the members of our church and along side three of my favorite ladies in the world. Each year I am amazed at the response of our church members to the community children and families who participate in our event and I leave filled with joy and energy to do it again the following year!” Renae also has a heart for women and helps facilitate a bible study a couple of times a year. This is a new area of growth she hopes to strengthen in years to come.

When asked why she serves Renae gave this response; “I enjoy serving and am incredibly thankful for a church home that supports my gifts and encourages me to try new areas of serving without pressing me to do so.  One of my favorite verses from the Bible reminds me to serve without growing weary, so when I feel too busy, worn down or overwhelmed, I read and reread this verse: Galatians 6:9-10: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Renae we are so thankful for all the ways you serve at New Covenant!
