The Giving Tree is Truly a Giving Tree!

The Giving Tree is Truly a Giving Tree!

New Covenant’s annual Christmas outreach project, the Giving Tree truly makes a difference in the lives of foster families connected with the Circle of Care’s Child SHARE program.

Here are just a few of the thank you letters received by some of the Giving Tree recipients.

"The gifts mean so much to my family. It's nice to have a little extra support and the generosity reminds us of the true meaning of the season. I appreciate each and every person who gives to make this possible."
Rhonda Harris and family

"With having six children, having help with Christmas gifts is a huge blessing for our family and helps to eliminate some of the stress related to shopping as well as financial stress. Our family truly appreciates the help and it's nice to know that there are people that are so generous to help a child they have never met."
Kim Shelton and family

The Giving Trees will be set up in Decker Hall and the Café on Sunday, November 15th through November 29th. These trees are decorated with snowflake ornaments labeled with suggested gifts for the children. Along with gifts, we fill baskets with food for each family. The smaller ornaments indicate a food basket and a list of suggested items is provided. Please consider helping a foster family this Christmas. All gifts and food baskets are due back to the church by December 6th.

Volunteers are needed right away for:

•The Gift Tag Party on Thursday, November 12th, at 9:00 am in Room102/103.
We will set up the Giving Trees, prepare the tags and place them on the trees.
•Assisting with the Giving Trees on Sundays, starting November 15th.
